Leonardo da Vinci's  The Last Supper

An Italian tech firm has posted a high-resolution scan of Leonardo da Vinci's mural The Last Supper online in 16 billion beautiful pixels of color!

Unfortunately now days even if you go to Milan's Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, you would still have a hard time gaining admission to see the The Last Supper.

Over the years steps have been taken to protect Da Vinci’s Last Supper from exposure to dust and pollutants resulting in only Twenty-five visitors being admitted every 15 minutes to see the painting.

But now this high resolution image by Haltadefinizione's HAL9000 will allow you to examine details of Da Vinci’s 15th century wall painting that you would not normally be able to see, even if you where standing directly in front of the real thing.
